Farvel Januar

I've been so busy this last month. It's scary how fast it went by! I started a lot of fun tattoos, which I'm excited to finish in the next couple of weeks. And I'm excited that we're one month closer to warmer weather! Jenn Small and I have been working on a flash set together.  It's taking us a lot longer than planned due to both of us being busy with work, and just life in general. We're finally so close to being finished though, and I'm so excited! Here's a sneak peak!

I started a fun piece last Sunday on lovely Krista. I can't wait to add to this cute little Matryoshka couple. It's hard to tell from this picture, but they are holding hands. I'm really happy with it! We're adding some more flowers in the background, and obviously color.

Chris came down from Seattle to spice up his arm with a Spanish influenced tile pattern. I'm having a lot of fun with this one. We didn't have time to finish the last square on his arm, so I will be seeing Chris again very soon. I'll probably add a thicker border around the whole design once the color is finished.

I just started another little painting. Not really sure where I'm going with this one. Trying to think of some sort of background. I was hoping Cupcake would have some advice, but I guess not. At least he looks cute, right?

Until next time,

Amortentia

My week began with giving Ben and his girlfriend matching Harry Potter tattoos. Pretty cute, and fun! Maybe I should finally give in and watch the movies too.

It was an incredibly fun, busy, and exhausting week. But I feel like I got a lot done, and I started some really fun pieces! Thank you Glenn, for sitting through your knee blast like a champ! I know that didn't feel good at all. Hopefully you put some ice on that angry knee!

I started a super fun flower sleeve on Emily, in memory of her mother. Still a long way to go on this one. Adding more flowers and background next time! Thanks Emily!

I started some pretty peonies on Cat. Can't wait to finish this!

I'm so excited about this shin piece that I started on Alicia. Who doesn't love cuckoo clocks?
Can't wait to add some color to this thing!

Hannah sat like like a champ. I had so much fun with this. Color in 2 weeks! Thanks Hannah!

I did this last week, but forgot to post a photo. Valorie can finally wear her hair up with her "new" flowers. :)

I was feeling a bit home sick the other night, so Spencer and I watched my all-time favorite movie. Ronja Røverdatter. So many childhood memories!

I'm starting this tomorrow, and I have a feeling it's gonna be another fun week!

Until next time,

Rex

As lovely as Norway was, and even though it was incredibly sad to leave, it feels so good to be back in Portland. It's been great seeing friends, co-workers, and my clients again. And spending time with my two furry children, and my darlin, here at home.
I don't believe in New Years resolutions, but I decided to make this year a productive one. What better way to start the year than by cleaning out my studio? My desk has been a dumping ground since September, and it feels so good to finally be able to use that space again. Can you believe I've been drawing and painting on the couch and coffee table these last few months? What was I thinking?

So here it is, doesn't it look lovely? And I am proud to say I've been in my studio every night since I cleaned it out!

I've been busy at work too since I got back. Lovely Renay and her boyfriend visited from Australia, and Renay got some pretty flowers to take back home. Safe travels to you both!

I started outlining Brian's arm right before I left for Norway, so he came back to fill in a couple of pieces. I also did some pretty roses on his arm.

Sandy and her lovely daughter stopped by, and I started a bunny portrait on Koa's arm. So excited about this one, and I can't wait to work on it again.

Sandy, who's one of the toughest ladies I know, got a rose on her hand. I also did a dog portrait on her last summer, and I'm happy I finally got a healed photo. Thanks ladies! You're great!

Emiko who owns Food Fight right next door to us let me put a pretty Dahlia on her hand earlier today. Thanks lady!

It's been a great two weeks back at work, and I'm looking forward to many more! A huge thanks to everyone who bombarded my Etsy shop and picked up a print! You guys are awesome!

Until next time,
